Navigating ICE Raids in Houses of Worship
Thursday, February 13, 2025 • 15 Sh'vat 5785
1:00 PM - 2:00 PMThe strangers who reside with you shall be to you as your citizens; you shall love each one as yourself, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt: I The Lord am your God. (Lev. 19:34)
We are hosting a program February 13 from 1:00-2:00pm for folks who work in churches and synagogues about our legal rights and obligations if representatives from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) come to our doors. Rebecca Glenberg, Chief Supervising Litigation Counsel of the Illinois ACLU, will join us for an informational session and Q&A.
We will also be able to take some time to plan and strategize as a faith community on how to support the vulnerable members of our community.
