1:00 PM - 2:00 PMElections: Where We Are and How You Can Help
with Matthew Fruth, assistant deputy clerk of elections at Cook County Clerk's office
Thu, Oct. 13 @ 1:00 pm on Zoom
Preparation for elections is a year-round effort. As we close in on a month out from the election, many of our efforts focus on recruiting and training election judges. We’re always in need of more, especially younger folks who are willing to serve! Mail ballots are also a growing part of our efforts to make elections more accessible, and the mail balloting environment is continually changing.
Matthew Fruth is an assistant deputy clerk of elections at Cook County Clerk's office, and he’s also the president of the Oak Park Public Library Board of Trustees. Matthew will share the latest updates about how a county of more than five million people runs a midterm election and will be happy to answer your questions.
Oak Park Temple is a proud member of A More Perfect Union: The Jewish Partnership for Democracy. In line with our (nonpartisan) commitment to bolster the democratic process, Oak Park Temple and Suburban Thursday Afternoon Retirees present a behind-the-scenes view of the Cook County elections process.
